The Home Health Quality Improvement National Campaign (HHQI) now offers free online learning courses through HHQI University. These educational courses are evidence-based and focus on improving patient outcomes and quality improvement. All courses are free and accessible to everyone who is registered with HHQI.

Free Continuing Education Credits

All educational courses offer certificates of attendance, and many include continuing education (CE) credits. Nursing CEs are approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) and are accepted in almost every state. Many state and national therapy organizations/boards will accept certificates of attendance toward required continuing education. Please check with your organization/board’s specifics.

How to Register &  Enroll in Courses

HHQI University's courses utilize many of HHQI's educational resources. These materials are free, but registration on the campaign website is required for access.
  1. If you are new to HHQI, please register for the HHQI National Campaign. This will give you instant access to the Best Practice Intervention Packages (BPIPs) which are used for HHQI University courses.
  2. Register for HHQI University to access the course catalogs and enroll in specific courses.
  3. Download the 1-page How to Enroll flyer or the Quick Start Guide below for step-by-step instructions with screen shots.
  4. Once you are registered, you can access HHQI University directly at www.HHQIUniversity.org.

Each month, the healthcare industry spotlights a variety of health-related topics to heighten awareness, increase education, or recognize the contributions of professional groups. In October, we will celebrate the following observances:

Underserved Population (UP) Network webinar

Please join the HHQI team in welcoming guest experts Dr. Martha Sanders and Dr. Tracy VanOss from the Quinipac University School of Health Sciences as they present Promoting Medication Adherence among Older Adults at Home

Upon conclusion of this free, 60-minute webinar, you will be able to:

  • Identify two (2) medication management challenges for home health patients.
  • Describe three (3) strategies to improve medication management and patient adherence.
  • Explain two (2) ways to best utilize the skill set of occupational therapists (OTs) for improving medication management.

Free Continuing Education Credits | This activity has been submitted to Alabama State Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. Alabama State Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. To receive CE credit, participants must watch the webinar and complete an additional 15 minutes of related coursework in HHQI University.

Falls Prevention Best Practice Intervention Package (BPIP) – The long awaited updates to the Falls Prevention BPIP is scheduled to be released in early November.
