Join Brian Tuttle for this 90-minute webinar where he will detail your practice or business information technology and how it relates to the HIPAA Security Rule, in particular portable devices. This webinar will provide education on texting, email, encryption, medical messaging, voice data and risk factors as they relate to IT. He will uncover myths versus reality as it correlates to this very enigmatic law based on over 600 risk assessments performed as well as years of experience in dealing directly with the Office of Civil Rights HIPAA auditors.

Faculty: Brian Tuttle Sr., is a Certified Professional in Health IT (CPHIT), Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP), and Certified Business Resilience Auditor (CBRA) with 15 years’ experience in health IT and Compliance Consulting. Mr. Tuttle has worked all of those 15 years with MAG Mutual Healthcare Solutions and is now Senior Compliance Consultant and IT Manager with InGauge Healthcare Solutions.

Continuing Education: The presenters and program planners have no conflict of interest in regard to this webinar. RNs and LPNs must participate in the entire presentation in order for contact hours to be awarded. To apply for nursing contact hours, please mail an evaluation form and a $10 processing fee for each individual requesting hours. Additionally, send in a completed sign-in sheet, listing the individuals at your facility that participated and noting those requesting contact hours. Individuals requesting contact hours will receive a certificate of contact hours earned. Please make sure that you enter the Contact Person’s name in the Registration Form. All correspondence and site registration information will be sent to this person. No commercial support has been provided for this program.
