Working Together: Impact of New Nursing Facility Rules

 on Hospice Providers

Webinar – Tuesday, March 13, 2018

8:30 am to 10:00 am PST – Webinar Recording Available

Licensing and certification requirements for the hospice provider/nursing facility partnership were published in 2013. There has been limited surveyor scrutiny of the relationship due to the absence of the surveyor interpretive guidance. However, the guidance was published in the Nursing Home Mega Rule and implemented November 28, 2017. Join this Webinar to hear about the changes that nursing home providers are experiencing and the impact on expectations of care from a hospice provider.

At the completion of this Webinar, participants will be able to:

·         Describe the changes CMS has made that impact care provided in a nursing home

·         Discuss the surveyor guidance for residents receiving care from a hospice provider

·         Identify potential issues regarding administration of unnecessary medications and anti-psychotics
