We invite you to join us Friday, December 17th as we hear from Leslie Emerick, HCAW Public Policy Director. During this presentation, Leslie will be discussing the primary elements of a democracy and how the work that we do as citizens contributes to maintaining one. She will also weave in how recent legislation and the public policy efforts by HCAW strengthens your profession and promotes home health in Washington state.

About Our Speaker:
Leslie Emerick, MPA, is the Public Policy Director of HCAW and has 26 years of public policy experience. She has represented HCAW for many years as a lobbyist and now as our Public Policy Director. She was a Douglas County Commissioner and a legislative liaison for the state Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health. She has a Master of Public Administration degree, a BA in Speech Communication and Secondary Education and a minor in Political Science. Leslie started her contract lobbying business in 2006 and currently represents multiple health care related associations.
