About the Webinar:

Leslie will describe the Political Landscape for the 2026 Legislative session that starts on January 12th. For those of you attending our In-Home Services Day, she will provide education on what to expect and how to be best prepared to meet with your local legislators.

About the Speaker – Leslie Emerick, MPA:

Leslie Emerick, MPA, has 30 years of state and local public policy experience in WA State. She has represented HCAW since 2006 as a lobbyist and became our Public Policy Director in 2016. She was formerly a Douglas County Commissioner for four years and a member of the Chelan-Douglas Board of Health. She was a legislative liaison for the state Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health for nearly 6 years. She has a Master of Public Administration degree, a BA in Speech Communication and Secondary Education with a minor in Political Science. Leslie started her contract lobbying business in 2006 and currently works with seven health care association clients including home care and hospice.
